Mikey Thomas (b. 1999, Stockport, UK) is an artist living and working in Manchester. He studied for his BA at Manchester School of Art and was the 2023 Freelands Studio Fellow at Bath School of Art.

Recurring themes in his work include facade, grammatical person, naming as a form of territorialisation, and the image as parasite. He approaches the medium through a non-hierarchical lens on material, expanding the canonised palette of pigment and binder through the use of construction materials, found imagery, and myth. Writing is integral to his practice, existing as both a byproduct and a tool for reshaping the work’s internal logic.
